Between the cracks
In the world of intuitive healing, learning to deeply listen is an ongoing practice. We often listen just enough to prepare for our turn to speak. But what’s not being said? What can you hear in the energy field between you and another person? Real listening is happening on many levels at once. We hear language, but we also hear tone, pacing, breath, tension, softness, and hesitation. Sometimes the most important part of an exchange is in the space around the words being spoken. Perceiving these subtle layers asks us to listen not just with our mind, but with our body, our nervous system, and our emotions. It requires us to be sensitive to the the cracks beyond the surface - the unspoken and the unseen. Compassionate listening doesn’t rush or explain; it simply holds space, attuning to what is needed through loving presence.
